I want to enable *6 to disconnect ALL connected nodes. If I comment out ;6 what other comment do I have to remove?
In the rpt.conf file you will see :
;;;;; Link Commands ;;;;;
; 1 - Disconnect specified link
; 2 - Connect specified link -- monitor only
; 3 - Connect specified link -- transceive
; 4 - Enter command mode on specified link
; 5 - System status
; 6 - Disconnect all links
; ...
These lines are simply comments telling you what ilink commands are available.
A bit farther down in the file you will also see :
;;;;; ilink commands ;;;;;
; commands 1 through 5 are defined in the Mandatory Command section
; 806 = ilink,6 ; Disconnect all links
; ...
If you were to uncomment this line then you could use *806 to disconnect all links (exec'ing ilink,6).
For more info, have a look at ASL3 Manual: Config Files: rpt.conf: Functions Stanza
Thank You! That was what I was looking for.
I use that every Saturday evening to nuke my ordinary connections on my secondary home node, in order to listen to the Science & Tech Net out of Toronto, Canada. *806 is tatooed on my frontal cortex…
