Hi All,
This has not been posted since 2017 and solar repeaters are getting more popular. This can also be used if you want your repeater to be quiet when no one is using it locally.

Jim was kind enough to add this rpt.conf item for my low power sites, I was not expecting him to name it after me.
I like Jim’s pick for the unit system. The wiki doesn’t really specify, but the units are actually micro-fortnights.
That is to say 1 Elke = 0.000001 fortnight, or 1.2096 seconds.

Jim and I both worked on VAXs in the 70s and 80s, most projects we worked on he would add some some Digital Equipment references.

Ah ha! That explains the un-documented option in the RTCM/VOTER…
If you look at the hidden menu 111, there are three hidden modes:
Elkes (11780)
Glasers (1103)
Sawyer (1170)
Note: the menu text says Elkes mode is 11730, but that is a typo, it is really looking for 11780 something else to fix in a future firmware update.
The entered value for the Elkes timer is multiplied by 9677.
Now, if someone knows what Glasers and (Tim) Sawyer modes do too…

Jim and I were friends for almost 30 years. He was full of inside jokes.

The sawyer mode changes the deemphasis when the RTCM goes off line. It’s documented on the wiki under the undocumented heading.
