Echolink Database Downloading Partial Updates, Can't connect for over 30 Minutes.

I started testing Echolink capability this morning, it wasn’t for about two weeks and I don’t know why. It would keep timing out when trying to connect to my node, but outbound connections from the node were working. Now its working…

Ok, Echolink via iPod with proxy settings. I sat here for over 30 minutes trying to connect and kept getting “UN-AUTHORIZED”. I know the repeater downloads the database every 5 minutes but it looks like only partials. Here is my output:

My Question is, Is there any way to change how often it performs a Full download instead of a partial. I understand the security of waiting for a call to be in the databases, but this timing is ridiculous.

Should we be relying on the data that is collected by the 5 minute polls for authentication? By doing the authentication on stale data as is done by app_rpt/chan_echolink we are seeing that every iPhone connect is using a node number and callsign that is NOT that of the station connecting as the entry in the local DB is stale. I suspect that the windows version of echolink does a query when a station connects as it rarely has the wrong callsign for proxy users and does not take 5-10 minutes to allow connects from non-proxy clients.

I suspect that the users below is using a private proxy (no sure if they can configure that) and as such will never be able to connect at it looks like the iPhone app only logs in to the proxy when the user hits the connect button.
