Echolink - configured and in list but not in the search or wont connect

I have configured echolink and enabled the module, looks good. all green in echolink.org. DTMF command says connection failed.

/supermon/astlookup.php. ?node=*33280045&localnode=602943
results in Nothing Found…

ECHOLINK: WR4VR-L Node: 280045
ALLSTAR Node: 602943

Enter DTMF command in the supermon *33160251 (this is the WR4VR-R echolink node number) it says connection failed.

My echolink.conf
[el0]
call=WR4VR-L
pwd=*MASKED
name= Villa Rica Radio Club
qth=Villa Rica, GA
email= @wr4vr.org
node=280045
confmode=no
;Everything else is defaults

If I join the link WR4VR-L via *33280045 this established connection

Or maybe everything is correct and I need to join WR4VR-L to WR4VR-R via echolink?

I found the issue. looking at the WR4VR-R echolink logs I had Linking disabled.

Access Denied WR4VR-L Villa Rica Radio Club Node type denied
