Echo not working from asl-menu cli tune ASL3

2 issues, perhaps related, new install

  1. From the asl-menu, CLI node tune echo is not working, won't even key the radio. It does transmit and rx from other comands.
  2. Immediately upon starting Allmon3 web page it shows my node in the "Transmit - Local Source" status with the timer starting at the moment of accessing.

Equipment: RPi4b, CM108 modified with PTT transistor, etc., connected via mic/earphone cable to a TYT MD-380uv.
