Dynamic DHS Service

Anyone usingDynamic DHS Service to automatically update your dynamic IP address?

If so, what client or script are you using please?

Thanks

Lu,

KA4EPS

I use noip.com as my dyndns provider and noip2 as the local program to update. I am very happy with them.
The local program depends on your provider. They usually suggest and/or provide a program to work with their service.

I use DynDNS with no problems.

My Linksys routers do the updates to DynDNS.

There’s an article on Allstarnode.com concerning a Linux native client.

Well, that’s very cool, but what does the “DHS” have to do with it???

DHS is a new dynamic BETA (max) shipping service from DHL. The
service can also be used to tell others where your AllStar box is
located, and is way better than VHS.

Each router I have has different firmware so I can use any DNS provider. 2 of my router use

DD-WRT firmware and one uses tomato firmware. Knowing that, I have 3 different DNS.

noip-ip.com, it has to be renewed every month but its free.

Dyn.com/dns is free only if you have a D-link router and I do, so for the past 2 years

I haven’t had an e-mail from then concerning expiration.

freedns.org is my favorite because it’s free too and they don’t expire or send the monthly

e-mails. It was not easy to set up but once I did, it has been flawless. I found this site helpful

because I’m using DD-WRT firmware
