Direct Support Contacts

Hey Folks,

Just a friendly reminder.

It is not acceptable to directly contact developers/authors/admins or other users with your personal support questions. Assume everyone is busy and they are not your personal support representatives. Furthermore, and more importantly, it diminishes the value of community-based support we and other projects have in place.

This applies to text/phone, landline, personal email address, direct message, calling them on the radio, showing up to their house, etc. No one values this type of selfish support request.

Instead post on https://community.allstarlink.org or github.com for technical support. For account matters like resetting your allstarlink.org password should be directed to helpdesk@allstarlink.org or https://helpdesk.allstarlink.org.

Also note that the help desk is not for technical support for the same reasons already mentioned.

Our gurus and users are generally a friendly bunch so don’t be shy about publicly asking for help. But if you directly contact someone you may get ignored or worse.
