Recently over the weekend I found out typing from root prompt service asterisk restart doesn’t work for me. It returns Job for asterisk.service failed. See ‘systemctl status asterisk.service’ and ‘journalctl -xn’ for details.
For now:
service asterisk stop
service asterisk start
···
