I have swiched from using the simple USB driver to the USB radio driver in the hope that I can use a 150Hz CTCSS tone.
I found the article above which was really useful.
Does anybody know if 150Hz is in 'the table'? Is it a supported CTCSS tone?

That is a good question.
I had always assumed, probably incorrectly, that it was injected/sought the tone by actual freq specified in DSP.
I would say try it and report back here to let us all know.
But perhaps someone does know for sure ?
The closest would be 151.4 Hz. I don't know what happens if you use a non-standard PL frequency like 150 Hz. Will it still encode/decode even though most if not all radios won't support it?
Thanks both. The 150Hz tone is used by NATO military radios and there are a number of locals with various green boxes who would like this option. I will do some testing and report back. P.S. This is for a 4M (70MHz) gateway which is a band we have access to in the UK.
