Command to Disable/Enable ID

I have a link to a remote repeater using the input frequency.

We finally figured out how to execute a command when the last link disconnects but not when 1 link is still connected while the other disconnects.

In the connect and disconnect script files, we have the DTMF dialing.

**Is there a command I can use to completely disable the ID without disabling any other telemetry or changing anything else so I can put that in the script files? **

The node ONLY needs to ID when it is transmitting, and the ONLY time it transmits is when it is connected to a link.

you might say “hey, what if you are only connected for 8 mins, not 10 and it does not ID” , well I will have it ID on disconnect.

Thanks, this is the last problem we have to fix, and if not, our only other choice is to let the ID loop play every 10 mins.

hi skyler

look at this site he has a lot of very useful script for allstar. take a good look at the " astflip " script.
it will do what you need. it will allow you to change to completely different copy of rpt.conf.

you set a rpt.normal file and a rpt.fipped file then what the script will do is replace your rpt.conf with
the normal file or the flipped file upon demand via a dtmf command.

it use this script to do exactly what you are trying to do twice a week to feed a repeater system a skywarn net.

And when i do that the script change the running config of allstar for the net and turns off all courtesy tones
and other stuff.

Will asterisk have to restart to change this because I can not have the links disconnect when the change is taken place because the change will take place on link connect.

What is COP 17 and 18?

It says that it can do this : does that mean that it can do this

  • 17 - User functions (time, id, etc) enable

  • 18 - User functions (time, id, etc) disable

would that solve my problem? I would use COP 17 to enable and COP 18 to disable

Skyler KDØWHB

Thanks, that’s what I wanted!

I will test it out, hope, crossing my fingers that no node disconnects.

there is no dtmf command for that ulese
you create one.

it requires that you do asterisk -rx " rpt reload " from the

asterisk cli or an external script

from the cli you use rpt reload.
