Changes to cb legislation in Australia re UHF CB use of roip/voip nodes

Hi All a quick question, with the new changes to the UHF CB legislation in Australia that comes into effect on the 1st October 2025 allowing the use of VoIP/RoIP nodes I would like to be able to set up a private node for use between friends using your allstarlink network, will you be opening your network for uhf cb users to be able to use private nodes not connecting to the public amateur network when this legislation comes into effect ?

Yes, the AllStar software may be used to build private networks. In the US, GRMS users do exactly that. Of course, non-ham systems are not allowed to connect to the AllStar ham radio network.

An allstarlink.org account is not needed to install or operate a private node. Build your nodes, install the software, make up the private node numbers, and don’t attempt to register the private nodes. Instead, link the private nodes together by pointing the IP addresses at each other.
