Build Allstar bridge to Yaesu WiresX room

Hello everybody and thank you in advance for any help that you could be to me.

I wish to bridge my WiresX to All-Star. How do I do this? Do I need to establish an All-Star node first and then use a program to Bridge to it?

Again, thank you very much!

There is no native way to bridge between anything and WIRES x, Allstarlink included. All the options are kind of terrible in their own way.

You could use a URI to wire a Yaesu HRI-200 directly to an Allstarlink node as if it's a radio, then support mixed-analog/digital mode on your WIRES x room. If you do it this way, though, clients who connect to you via WIRES x will need analog support. Lots of repeaters don't have that appropriate interface cable, so they will never hear traffic from your bridge, nor will they be heard. There will just be a mostly silent carrier on the WIRES x side if there is no analog support on the repeater.

The other option would be to use an MMDVM hotspot to connect between a Yaesu radio connected to WIRES x and a YSF reflector, then bridge between ASL and YSF using DVSwitch Server. Since there is no way to connect directly to WIRES x outside of Yaesu's equipment, a radio needs to talk to something that can understand and translate the protocol, I.E. an MMDVM hotspot, then you need something to connect two MMDVM clients together, in this case the hotspot and DVSwitch Server on your Allstarlink node.

Lots of moving parts, lots of ways it can break, and none of it is officially supported by anyone.

Thank you very much Darryl.
Considering what you have told me- it seems like it would make more sense to establish an all star room so that they could all connect (30 of them) using Repeaterphone for IPhone and dvSwitch for Android. Does this sound correct?

Thanks again!

Except it's called a "Node" / "Node Number" over here. I know; every format uses its own color of sprinkles...

Excellent! Many thanks! How do I set up this node?
