Broadcastify streaming with ASL3?

Good Evening all,
I am trying to get a node of mine back up and running the way I had it originally, but now using ASL3. I use to have a broadcastify stream on it previously. Is it possible to install this again? If so how with this new interface? Any guidance or information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Wade

You can set it up, but be warned there are some issues with it currently. Asterisk stop/restart can take 60 seconds or more when streaming to Broadcastify. I have also seen memory leaks and eventual Asterisk crashes when streaming.

Thank you! I actually couldn’t find it there until a few minutes ago. Then I spotted where the info was… Thanks for the reply.

Haven’t tried it yet, but at some point, I want to replace lame|ezstream with ffmpeg, which can handle both the encoding and the streaming, to see if that makes things any better/different/worse.
Unfortunately, HamVoIP currently does this better due to some undisclosed optimization in their app_rpt version.

Our next release will include a fix that addresses the stop/restart delay. For more info, have a look at app_rpt PR #452.

I’m coming back over from HamVOIP to try this ASL3 out. On HamVOIP I did not have any issues with the broadcast stream. So hopefully their fix for this works here.

Note: the stop/restart “fix” is not yet in a released package. I’m hoping that we’ll have a set of beta packages out in the next few weeks.
