Auto-congesting call due to slow response then connection failed

I am having trouble connecting to to a certain node every time I get connect failed every time.
But the node can connect to me every time. Sounds like port fwd issues from them?

I can connect to everyone node that is registered. From what I know we are
both registered in the system and listed in the Allstar Link Node List.
I have attached the CLI output below.
This has been happening awhile, just never figured it out, but have been trying and decided to send to the group if anyone else seen
this issue.

Anyone have a clue on this one?

Then I get the connection failed response.

Are you getting the nodes list? Take a look for /var/lib/asterisk/rpt_extnodes. At the bottom of the file there should be a current timestamp.

For example:

tail /var/lib/asterisk/rpt_extnodes

;Generated 3251 records in 0.063 seconds.

;Served in 0.015 seconds.

;Served from cache: Yes

My guess would be that node 29103 is not getting updated nodeslist data.

OR
I should add, it might not be accepting inbound connects/or whitelist. I can't connect either.

Did you ever solve? Same issue here today. Thx.

I be leave it was a port fwd issues to the node I was trying to link.
Been awhile since I did that. Also make sure they are listed as registered on the allstarlink.org list.

Sorry I should have said a port fwd issue at the other node your trying to connect to.

Turns out my ISP made changes and is blocking ports. I installed a VPN to test and connections work fine. I need ISP to unblock bc my AREDN mesh tunnels are not connecting etc. Thanks for the replies.
