Audio setting and meaning of different options and SIP VOIP

Good Morning,
i’m quite new about allstarlink. I’m trying to build a node just to study this “world”. I’m looking for information about the meaning of different audio “options” in configuration.

In particular i can understand the meaning of usb interface (whn you connect it to a radio), but the other ones:
RTCM;
Dahdi;
USRP?

If i would like just to use the node without radio but with, for example SIP VOIP, is it possible?

Thanks so much.

The RTCM and USPR channel types are specific protocols for specific types of devices. The DAHDI channel is the “radioless” channel type for what you’re looking to do. The information on how to use VOIP with that is documented in the manual.

Thanks for this feedback.

If I would like to know more about these protocols, is there any manual?

This because I’ll would like to use it without any radio.

The full manual on how to setup a node is https://allstarlink.github.io. Setting up a radio-less node is a standard configuration and then add your desired VOIP element.

Thank.
There i haven’t seen a specific topic on different audio options and meaning.
May you help me please?

Igor

Help me please about this question

I am not sure what your question is?

The USRP, SIP protocols were not created by allstarlink.
Dahdi, is a asterisk thing & RTCM (radio thin client module) is not a audio protocol.
It is harware.
A web search may give you the information you are looking for most of that ?

Or be more specific. Or state the goal of what you are trying to create and let someone point you in the right direction.
