Diving in to ASLv3 I moved three nodes to the PI image. All 3 have the same issues. They all are running on single Raspberrypi 3Bs. Two of them are using an RA42 interface board. The third is a radioless node. No idea what the interface is inside the box. About 90% of the time after a period of inactivity when a node keys up to play audio from a announcement or a user talking there is a series of low level clicks in the audio. It can continue in to the voice content. There is also a quick ripple at times when a user unkeys. All 3 are using the usbradio driver but I tested 2 of them on the simpleusb instead and it still happens. To hear it clearly I set my simplex node with PTT reversed so it was keyed up after a restart. From the radioless node I then keyed the mic and got a nice clear set of several clicks before the simplex node unkeyed. Doing it this way kept any mic audio from clouding the audio. The clicks are not super loud but every hour when my time and WX conditions play over the repeater I can hear them. I really want to solve this because it is frustrating enough to send me back to running Hamvoip.
