i have enabled the archive, the audio from when the node transmits is GREAT, but the audio when it is getting a signal is horrible.
this is NOT a problem when using echolink or any other ‘live’ audio source, it is only on the archive audio

Can you play the raw file in something like VLC with the same result ?
You need to know if it is the node/server or a corruption in the file/not encoded correctly.
It would also be nice to know what version of ASL software you are working with.

ASL3 , downloaded a week ago. I can get the version number if needed.
Where do I locate the raw audio files.
Other than being a little low, the audio through echolink sounds great. The audio from asl node to asl node sounds amazing.

Doesn’t that make you think it is the file/encoding ? Not ASL
or should I ask ‘the same as what’? It wasn’t a very exacting answer.
