Installed ASL3, and using usbradio and decoding PL. when tuning with Radio-tune-menu the Rx pl decoding works, but the value is not saved and any reboot needs to have pl decode re calibrated via radio-tune-menu. Is this a file permission issue? How do I save the pl decode value?
Have you tried to put it in the config file ? manually
rxctcssfreqs = 100.0,91.5 ; RX CTCSS frequencies list in floating point. must be in table
txctcssfreqs = 100.0,91.5 ; TX CTCSS frequencies list. any frequency permitted. will follow RX CTCSS frequency
Tnx for the reply.
I did enter the pl tone freq (131.8) in the config file, and that is fine.
My issue is after a reboot, it does not decode pl, until I go back into radio-tune-menu , select option 4 to set “auto-detect ctcss level value”, with a carrier and pl, then it works.
After, I select a W to save.
But does not seem to retain that value.

Also check setting
ctcssfrom = dsp ?
Make sure your software is up to date.
apt update
apt upgrade
There could be a bug in the software, but wait to see what others have to say before submitting a bug report.
Appreciate the reply, tnx
Make sure you’re using asl-menu
as the starting point and not radio-tune-menu
directly.
