I have had a Hamvoip node on a 44 address for years. Works fine, except HV does not have a decent firewall that I can get active… Switching over to ASL3 has created an issue when on one set of 44 address- hence, not a direct fault of ASL3.. but just seeing if I could get help figuring this out.

When I put the ASL3 on 44 set 1, it will not update the nodelist AND says “service failed.” When I created the node it was on an internal 192. address and updated just fine. Just to test, I put the node on a different 44 set-2.. update nodelist works fine!!! So, something is being blocked by 44 set 1.

What does asl3 look for when updating the node list? ipaddress, url, port? That way I can send a request to the admin of 44 set 1 to open it for me…. Thanks!
