ASl3 How can I install Midnight Commander?

I cannot install mc from pacman using pacman -S mc. I was able to do this before but now i am getting pacman is not a known command. It worked before but now it isnt installed? I cannot find commands to install pacman

The pacman command is an archlinux command and ASL3 is on Debian 12. I have no clue what Midnight Commander is or what it does.

Packages on Debian are installed with the usual apt install ..... In your case, you’re looking for sudo apt install mc.

mc is a great way to access and maintain the system. It’s like Norton Commander or back in dos days of PC,I used a program I used called Xtree. Quick and easy!

I was thinking of the Hamvoip system. My bad I get the 2 mixed up a lot. Uggghhh… sudo apt install mc was all there was to it.
