I was able to configure echolink to my ASL3 node before. I disabled it for a while then I decided to enable it again. Now I am stuck on this problem. I don’t know why and I tried some solutions but still no luck. Maybe someone can help me out.
In Your firewall port forward it looks like you forwarded to 0.0.0.0 and you should have forward it to your node IP address, I don’t see your node ip address but I am sure you must know what that is.
I think (without certainty) that your issue is that you have one other device which is already logged into echolink on the same WAN IP
Likely a mobile device connected through your wifi.
Keep in mind that most cell phones by default allow apps to run in the background.
And phones now try to connect wifi when present first.
So, you might think you are not using it, but you are.
EL only allows one connect per IP. Many different things sometimes happens when there is a second attempt.
SO, if any of this sounds true, don’t just turn the wifi off on the phone, connect to EL servers with it using the cell data so the user id is quickly on a different IP and prevent waiting for a timeout. for the test.
Just a thought and a easy test before you carve your settings up.
In 12 years of help, this has been the issue for about 90% of them with seemingly IP/DNS looking issues.
Perhaps it is some other issue, but my bet is this is it.
I also tried to remove the firewall and ping the server, unlucky, same result.
Is this a cloud server provider problem or the EL servers are blocking my VPS?
That error is an ICMP Type 3 Code 3 issue. Is your local host’s IP 132.145.152.245? That means that your system is unable to route the packet which means you have a networking problem either on your host or with your hosting provider.
Thank you for response. I already tried to communicate the hosting service provider yesterday. They forwarded already my issue to the networking team. Hoping they will be able to fix it soon.
Hello N8EI,
I have tried to contact the technical team of the VPS service provider and they said, that my IP address may have been blocked by echolink server. Were there any issues like this before?
Is there a way that I can communicate with EL team so that I can ask them to unblock my IP?
For some reason, my server was sending empty packets along time ago as per information from EL team thats why my IP was blocked. They already removed it from the block list and now, everything is working fine.
