ASL3 Echolink node shows up on Echolink website link status page but not visible in app

I recently set up a new ASL3 node and I am having some issues with getting Echolink working properly. I can generate an outgoing connection from Allmon3 to a specific Echolink node, but if I use the Echolink pc program on Android app (both on another internet connection), I do not see my node listed as active. However, the EchoLink Link Status page shows the node as connected. Not sure where the disconnect is.

Another odd issue I am having is when trying to connect to a particular 5-digit Echolink node. Sometimes I can try to connect without success, other times it will connect the first time. At the same time I can connect to 4 or 6 digit nodes without ever having an issue.

When the 5-digit node connection request fails, if I run echolink dbget, I get a valid response every time. I have read where someone suggested to delete the echolink db, but can not seem to find where it is located.

Any suggestions?

If you’re using the Echolink PC program, you’re already consuming the ports needed by your AllStarLink node. You can only run one Echolink connection from a particular IP address and I assume you’re in a class home network setup where you only have one public IP behind a router/NAT device.

I am aware of that fact. I am actually running my test pc on a different network than the ASL Pi. Same for my Android phone; it is on a third network during my testing.

The Echolink node presence issue has been resolved. I had to do a ping test from the Echolink website to “wake up” the Echolink servers to the fact my node # was now once again online after a long absence.

I am still chasing down the issue of the 5-digit nodes not connecting at times.
