ASL with dahdi_dummy

I see the latest ASL release is still running on Stretch.

  1. Does that now contain an activated dahdi_dummy?
  2. When will a release running on Buster be available?
  3. Will the Buster release contain an activated dahdi_dummy?
  4. WIll the Buster release run on the Pi4?

I see the latest ASL release is still running on Stretch.

  1. Does that now contain an activated dahdi_dummy?

Not that I am aware of.

  1. When will a release running on Buster be available?

At this point in time I am not aware of anyone working on a new release of software.

  1. Will the Buster release contain an activated dahdi_dummy?

Yes, it would if there was release in the works.

  1. WIll the Buster release run on the Pi4?

There was some work being done on a release that would run on a Pi4, but it has stalled.

Currently I am unaware of anybody actually working on an ASL release.

TNX,
Tom / K5TRA

Awesome how community is such fail that we can’t figure out who actually wrote this. Community is a soultion for people to stupid to use email.
Trained “communicators”, roflcakes.

The reason there is no more software updates is due to the ASL board, Mike, Kevin, Timmah, and the Todd, pissing off all the developers. The main developer now now has to spend his days unfucking the weekly fuck-up caused by the board; ergo, nothing gets done. Everyone else has fucked off.

None of the dev team uses community, so it’s all the non-technical users, who don’t understand anything, trying to help the rest of the non-technical users. It’s the perfect storm of confusion.

Props to the one guy trying to help out, who brought this up on slack.

Now as to your question:
I have some info on building this here Dahdi dummy - W9CR

The pi4 beta was out in beta, but the aforementioned issues caused the interest in that to drop off.

Community is a soultion for people to stupid to use email.

I’m only using it for the first time now, I can’t say I’m a fan.

Is there an unoffical email list?

Is there an IRC channel?
