This is not new and have had this problem for a long time on any and all nodes.
What’s expected is that you would toggle this>enabled and the transmitter would key and send a test tone or something.
Am I misunderstanding how this would be used or is it broken?
I am finally getting around to asking about this after noticing that it has never “worked” for us.
Thanks!
On my half duplex repeater link, this works as it should and keys the transmitter with tone. Login and run from the Allmon3 page or from asterisk CLI: rpt cmd 63326 cop 4 1 works here
Hi Chuck,
This works fine here as well.
My post is about it not working in asl-menu T option. Used while in the menu setting audio levels and other items within the menu.
It is implied in the menu that it would work there.
Thanks.
Oh, the one in simpleusb-tune-menu. The T selection appears to be an enable/disable toggle for test tone/PTT keying. It also appears to have no effect unless I am missing something obvious…I can F)lash the interface in either setting.
EDIT: It may work in usbradio-tune-menu, but I don’t have one of those interfaces.
EDIT 2: From what I can see it looks like this toggle is only referenced when setting TXA and TXB levels.
You are misunderstanding the T option in the menu. When that option is enabled, then a test tone will be played when making changes to other level adjustments in the menu. Selecting the T option itself does not trigger a test tone.
You are correct!
And thanks!
Docs on the T)oggle option - nonexistent. It seems I was on the right track from a quick look at the source (Edit2). Thanks.
Your edit 2 is correct
