ASL 3 - Wyse Dell 3040 hanging on shutdown -r now

At the risk or crying wolf a 2nd time - anyone else having shutdown -r now causing the PC to hang - have to actually cycle power to get going again ??? Debian 12 / ASL 3 - PS Allmon3 is really neat - first time out and very neat and clean… de nu5d

More to the story - shutdown -r now did hang - but this seems to coincide with the CM108 being plugged into a USB-2 (not USB-3) port with usb radio - does not seem to matter with simple usb… still kicking the tires. steve

Do you have a monitor on the system and can you report where it’s hanging in the shutdown process?

I have it headless for now - I typically run shutdown -r at midnight on repeater stations - thinking about first systemctl stop asterisk and then shutdown -r and see what happens… A learning experience for me… steve

In case you didn’t get this working, I ran into the same issue when installing ASL3 on my Dell Wyse 3040’s.

After installing Debian 12 be sure to edit the blacklist.conf file as described here:

Then update the Wyse 3040 bios as described here:

After doing this, no more hanging on reboot or shutdown.
