Greetings to the Group,
Just in time for the weekend, there is a new release of Asterisk with
app_rpt Amateur Radio Over IP software available.
This new release is a network install that insures that you always get
the latest assembled and tested software from our source code
repository.
You can upgrade from an earlier software release by using the Backup
and Restore utility.
If you don't have a CDROM drive, you can install from a USB pen drive.
The Echolink channel driver and configuration file are included and
instructions are on the web site.
Check it out at "http://www.xelatec.com/xipar/netinstall" and enjoy!

Steven Henke, W9SH
Hi Steven,
What version of the asterisk software does this upgrade use? I looked for
a release note doc and didn't see one.

Hi Steven,
Where do you all keep the SVN repository for the "latest and greatest"
these days?? I looked in:
https://www.xelatec.com/viewvc/app_rpt/asterisk/trunk/
and elsewhere and didn't see the recent versions.

David,
It's pulled in from a lot of sites now to keep current and patched on
the fly by the install script.
All of the references are in the xipar.cfg, apploader.sh and
install.sh script files that are a part of the package.

Steve,
Thanks. I'll take a look at those files. I didn't want to scrub my box at
this point, so, I built everything manually for the upgrade. Also, I
already had a copy of Asterisk 1.4.22 downloaded so I decided to give it a
whirl. It work fine, so far--no functionality trouble.
