What is the difference between a centos install of core and base and a few post install scripts that compile asterisk and ACID? Can the scripts be obtained seperately effecting a slightly more manual and controlled install?

I managed to hack the ACID scripts last time around. Grabbed them from a test installation I did on a VMware virtual machine. At this time, doing a complete OS installation is not an option, as none of my systems will be standalone Asterisk boxes.

The way I originally did a manual install was to get the files.tar.gz
archive from http://dl.allstarlink.org/installcd and then compile/install
asterisk from this archive.
