I’m working on configuring my app_rpt node for autopatch and such. what happened to “sip reload” in the asterisk CLI? How does one reload sip.conf?

actually looking a bit more it seems that many of the cli commands have been gutted from the acid installed version.

I am trying out the new iso. getting a constant spew of “usbfs did not claim interface 3 before use”
ring any bells?

No. Not true.
Here's the output from 'help' sip on my ACID box:
test*CLI> help sip
sip history Enable SIP history
sip history off Disable SIP history
sip notify Send a notify packet to a SIP peer
sip prune realtime Prune cached Realtime object(s)
sip prune realtime peer Prune cached Realtime peer(s)
sip prune realtime user Prune cached Realtime user(s)
sip reload Reload SIP configuration
sip set debug Enable SIP debugging
sip set debug ip Enable SIP debugging on IP
sip set debug off Disable SIP debugging
sip set debug peer Enable SIP debugging on Peername
sip show channels List active SIP channels
sip show channel Show detailed SIP channel info
sip show domains List our local SIP domains.
sip show history Show SIP dialog history
sip show inuse List all inuse/limits
sip show objects List all SIP object allocations
sip show peers List defined SIP peers
sip show peer Show details on specific SIP peer
sip show registry List SIP registration status
sip show settings Show SIP global settings
sip show subscriptions List active SIP subscriptions
sip show users List defined SIP users
sip show user Show details on specific SIP user
And here's what happens when I thpe the command at the CLI prompt.
test*CLI> sip reload
Reloading SIP
== Parsing '/etc/asterisk/sip.conf': Foundtest*CLI>
Something else has to be going on.

usbfs does not have anything to do with the URI or modified USB fob.
It's a USB file system message. Disconnect all USB devices except the
FOB and see what happens.

is this specific to app_rpt? all the sip, extensions, iax, and a few other commands are missing. I can see commands being depreciated but suddenly removed…what happened, when and where did the change come to be?

There has to be something different about your install then. The vanilla
install works fine and has all of the commands.
Did you check the logs when starting asterisk manually to see what the
error messages are? Did you do a show modules to see what is and isn't
loaded?
We provide ACID for free and it does not come with commercial level
support. If you do something which is not documented in the ACID
sysadmin manual, then you cross the threshold where we can no longer
support you efficiently and you are on your own.
