    • Tune menus should allow specifying “node” to update PR #409

    • Tune menus will not always save settings PR #410

    • SimpleUSB: show RX level PR #411

    • chan_usrp: Add TX/RX debug messages PR #413

    • chan_simpleusb, chan_usbradio: Add parameter to make scaling/clipping optional PR #418

Note: This change is important. The SimpleUSB and USBRadio channel drivers included code that could have resulted in audio scaling / clipping / distortion. We all want good quality audio so we have started an effort to disable the scaling / clipping code. With this change you are advised to check your audio levels and make any needed adjustments.

To minimize the impact on existing configurations we have introduced a new “legacyaudioscaling” parameter to the simpleusb.conf and usbradio.conffiles. The default value for this parameter is “yes” (to keep the scaling / clipping code in place). This means that existing .conf files (without the variable specified) will have the same behavior. At the same time, fresh installs will include “legacyaudioscaling = no” in the .conf files and will not use the old scaling/clipping code.

Additional information on the scaling / clipping can be found in app_rpt #399.

Additional information on setting audio levels can be found in USB Audio Interfaces and Calibrating Audio Levels.

    • Fix crash if rpt.conf cannot be loaded PR #423

  • asl3-asterisk

    • Correct issue with #tryinclude statements PR #918
    • Correct issue with whitespace in comments PR #971

Sincerely,
AllStarLink
