Allstarlink Tone Builder (ATB)

Hello all,

I have created a website where you can go and try out different courtesy tones before actually putting them on your node. I found I was making a lot of changes trying to find just the right one in the rpt.conf file. After growing frustrated with updating and keying up the node, I built this app. It’s quick, it’s dirty. I don’t care if you copy it, just give me recognition in some fashion.

Do let me know if you find this useful. This isn’t only useful for AllStar, but repeaters in general. The website is self explanatory, and has built in examples from the holy grail Repeater-Builders website.

Feel free to check it out!

This is terrific! Very nice work.

Awesome! Thank you Jon!

Very cool!!
Would be extremely helpful if you could also include the “tone gain” field for each tone.
I have many applications where I’d like to adjust tone level per tone.
Or alternatively be able to adjust the output string numerically and see how it sounds.
Otherwise one has to plug these into Asterisk, restart it and see how it sounds as adjusted.

Jon, love this tool. (404?!)

So much that I almost cried when I saw it is down 404

From the main part of the site, it looks like he's moved on to other interests. I added one to the website: Telemetry Builder

I'm glad to hear the support and the amazement that more than myself used it lol.

As with most things I've gotten busy with other projects and life. I do, in fact try to do stuff outside ham radio once in a while. I'll probably put the site back up on my personal site (K5DVT.com) but I think great that it inspired the powers that be at ASL to have an official one. I for one thought it was useful. When things settle down I promise to reply with the new one in this thread.
