All,
With the release of AllStarLink v3, there's been a tremendous uptake in the platform (over 30% of all nodes are now ASL3) as well as substantially increased use of the AllStarLink Community. To help aid our growth and to better server the user community, some changes have made to the operation of AllStarLink Community.

The "app_rpt-users" Category has been renamed "AllStarlink". This Category should be used for discussions around the use of the app_rpt module in Asterisk along with the various channel drivers such as simpleusb, usbradio, voter/rtcm, etc. This is also where to post about linking, the AllStarLink family of tools, and other Asterisk/AllStarLink operational issues. If you aren't sure where to ask, ask here.

A new Category has been created named "OS Help". This category is for questions about the interaction of the various AllStarLink tools with the underlying Linux operating system. This Category can include advanced and customization questions about the ASL3 Pi Appliance Linux image the project distributes. It can also be used to ask about development compilation on Debian Linux and other platforms.
-
A new Category has been created named "Third-Party Apps". This Category is for questions and discussions about applications and systems that are not part of the AllStarLink project but interact with AllStarLink or are commonly used in conjunction with an AllStarLink system. These questions have been split out of the old app_rpt-users for clarity and helpfulness. This change has been made both so users have a clear place to ask these questions and for app owners to more-easily find questions about their applications.

All New Topics (posts) will require a Category, generally "AllStarLink", to be posted. It is no longer possible to post as an "Uncategorized" post.

Posts to the "AllStarLink" Category now have a new post template applied. This template should be used to help frame and ask good help questions. Similar templates may be applied to other Categories in the near future if this proves to be helpful.
For all channels, please read (Basic Troubleshooting Tips - AllStarLink Manual) before asking for help so you obtain the best, highest-quality responses from our community!
If you have any questions, please reach out to me in a PM.
Thanks,
