I’ve been very busy the past few months developing new products for AllStar, which can also be used with EchoLink, other PTT communications apps, digital modes, etc. Thought I’d post some recent pics. See https://allscan.info/ for details and pricing. The URI100, URI200 and UCI120 provide unbeatable RFI/EMI-resistance and audio quality with extensive features and flexibility in compact, fully shielded enclosures (also available as PCB’s only), while being compact and inexpensive.
I recently picked up the UCI120. This unit is unmatched in quality - I’m very impressed!
Good Stuff, I’ve been working on my own device similar but it’s been a nightmare…lol I will be ordering some of this!
The AllScan URI100 and URI200 USB Radio Interfaces have now been thoroughly tested on several ANF101 and ANF200 radio configurations and work better than any URI I have ever tested. The URI200 use high-quality Bourns 600Ω audio isolation transformers, which along with optoisolators on PTT/COS can completely isolate the grounds and all signal lines as well as fully isolate separate Rx/Tx radios from eachother, making it essentially impossible for RFI/EMI to affect the URI. These URIs use a CM108B IC by default but can also be ordered with a CM119A. The CM108B’s rated output voltage is 941mVrms or 2.66Vpp at 10KΩ vs. 1.25Vrms/3.54Vpp for the CM119A. Many mobile radios with “9600” Tx audio inputs require 2Vpp and I have confirmed that both URIs put out a full 3.0Vpp (see image). This is affected by <1% by the URI200’s 600Ω isolation transformer. Both models include Rx and Tx level trim pots supporting any needed audio I/O levels and have switch selectable input impedances supporting 10K/100Ω Zin on the URI100 or 10K/5K/3K/600/100Ω on the URI200.
The URI100 is perfect for nearly all nodes including high-end cross-band full-duplex mobile radios such as the TM-V71A and FT-8800R. The URI200 is only needed for very high-RFI environments (>1W@1m) eg. the ANF101, or non-standard I/O configurations eg. for radios like an Alinco DR-735T that support cross-band full-duplex but do not support both bands on the Mini-DIN-6 jack thus requiring the Mic jack to be used for Tx audio. The URI200 also provides extensive DIP switch options supporting nearly any possible ground and signal routing configuration.
