Allmon3 on default domain page

Hi all

This is probably a silly question, but if anyone can help me, I would appreciate it.

I have a hub installed in the cloud, the access is ‘http://domainname.com/allmon3/index.html’. What I would like to do is make access exclusive to the domain root, i.e. ‘http://domainname.com/index.html’ from allmon3.

I know little (or nothing) about Apache and proxy use.

Any help is appreciated.

I would suggest a google search for an answer.

Yes it is easy to do when you know what to edit but,

You need to read other stuff on the subject as well that I would not attempt to do myself.

But the skinny is…

/etc/apache2/sites-available/000-default.conf

If you don't have much experience with Apache, then don't mess with it. It would be complicated to relocate and not supported by the packaging.

Thanks, Mike.

That was my first step, searching Dr. Google.

Pointing the root to /usr/share/allmon3 is not the solution. The page goes to the domain root but immediately gives a “Severe” warning, the nodes are not visible, and nothing works. I have read something similar in my extensive research.

Thank you, Jason.

From what I understand, the problem lies in relocating the websocket. Giving up is not in my plans. Not being an expert on the subject, it may take me longer than someone with knowledge, but I will get there. Throughout my 70 years, 40 of which I have spent in IT, there have been very few times when I have given up.

Thank you for your wise advice.

Done, not quite the way I wanted, but the end result is as expected.

Removal of the Apache index, creation of a new index with the redirect. Installation of the SSL certificate.

Thank you all.
