Is there a recommended way to share hub server allmon3 externally to sys-admins ?
I do it all the time, but have no idea how to do it with a node connected to your home router... I use ham44 addresses that are public addresses that your can get from from portal.ampr.org, FREE, just for hams. You sign up, create a tunnel/ with network addresses, put it on a router, such as a gl-inet sft-1200 and then connect your node to it.
I have a 44 block and wireguard and ZeroTier; so, it's not a problem for me. The issue is: wamting to allow access to several hams who help admin the 900 network. They aren't on the private networks.
Doesn't matter if you can access the node interface from the 44.x ip you can have them connect via it. It is just an web connection nothing major. You might have to do some port forwarding to get to the correct device but that should not be that difficult. I already handle simiiar setup with wiregaurd that handles 8 different pc's and I can access any of them long as I include a port number such as 8080 forward to 10.8.0.6:80. You just have to pass the traffic.
wget asl-misc-scripts/setup-44connect-forward.rb at main · hardenedpenguin/asl-misc-scripts · GitHub
chmod +x setup-44connect-forward.rb
sudo ./setup-44connect.rb
I have not had a chance to test it or debug as of yet. Feel free to give it a run if you would like, you should be able to forward any port your heart desires with it.
I clicked on the ardc.com link and my computer was immediately taken over by popups. It took me a while to get rid of them. Thanks.
I think he meant ardc.net...
Sorry.... portal.ampr.org
I tried to reply with "No worries" but I was informed any post has to be 20 characters, minimum. No worries would have taken far less time and effort. ![]()
