Allmon2 - Monitor VS Local Monitor

Can someone tell me what the difference is between a Monitor and
Local Monitor connection on the Allmon 2 control panel.
I searched but found no explanation.

My guess .. Local monitor only **indicates** a connection on your

local node but not to the Allstar Link display?

Local monitor means only the local node (you) hears the monitored node. Any other nodes connected to you will not hear the monitored node.

A little known feature of monitor (both local and regular) is ducking. That is, talking locally lowers the audio of monitored nodes. The rpt.conf setting is

linkmongain = -22 ; Duck links in monitor, unit is db
