Adding Supermon to the Pi Appliance?

This is separate from my other topic.

I do have 2 Pi Appliances running right now. And both can send and receive calls. One is on a Pi 3B and the other on a Pi Zero 2W. Obviously the first is the better choice hardware wise.

Allmon3 is installed by default. And there’s a dashboard showing allmon3 as a service. I want to be sure Supermon and Allmon3 can coexist. And I want to be sure Supermon is compatible with the Pi Appliance environment.

I haven’t tried Supermon yet, but a friend highly recommends it. Just don’t want to mess up my working local node.

Supermon is not supported on ASL3 Pi Appliances, but others have made it work.

I have Supermon 7.4+ working on my ASL3 Pi4b.

Ham Radio Crusader on YT has loads of videos that can help.

@K3JRZ

Are you using the Pi Appliance installation? I’m using the one at Raspberry Pi Install - AllStarLink Manual in an available Pi 3B.

I assume Superman can run alongside Almon3?

Yup. Sure did.

And yes, you can run Allmon3 & Supermon 7.4+ side by side, although I only use Supermon 7.4+.

Well I did manage to install Supermon, alongside the Pi Appliance and Allmon3. But they’re completely separated. The cockpit web based dashboard doesn’t have any integration with Supermon, not even listed in the services.

But Allmon3 is friendlier on a smartphone browser with a small screen. Supermon is designed for a desktop browser on a larger screen.

you can modify supermon to make it more compatible to smart phone screens. it just takes a little section of code to make it work with no problems.

look at the mods for supermon on ham radio crusader on you tube and you will see them.
