Novice here. I have Allstar loaded on a Debian based HP box. Been thru the various menu putting in the node number (51310), call sign (w3smd), etc. When I do ./astdn then ./asdtup, Debian doesn’t complain (no errors) which in the Linux/Unix usually world means it’s happy. Network is talking and able to ping anything I want. Once Allstar is up, shouldn’t I been seeing the node on the map and portal/node list or does “Allstar central” admin have to turn me to “UP” me?
First thing to check is if your node is registered. You can do that a couple of ways.
- At the Asterisk CLI type
iax2 show registry. You’ll get a one line report that shows the registration status. - Look at the Nodes List. There will be a green background on your node number if it is registered.
