ACID/URIx to CDM1250

I'm trying to interface a Motorola CDM1250 to a Linux (ACID) server
using a URIx and the pinout listed for the GM300 on the DMK website. I
am successfully triggering the PTT and transmitting audio, but I am not
receiving any audio to a SIP softphone connected to the node.

I see similar posts about this problem in the list archives from years
ago but none of those solutions seems to be making a difference for me.
Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance,

You’re using pin 11? Any AC seen on pin 11, should be 350 mV rms for 60% deviation (3k on wideband FM). Is there Rx PL on the radio? In the CPS, under the radio configuration menu, accessory configuration tab there’s Rx Audio type. This can be filtered or flat. Also check the basic tab on that page, watch the hook switch defeats PL checkbox if using PL. Lastly in the conventional personality channel settings, advanced tab, there’s a pre/de emphasis setting that needs to match. Your deemph settings in software should compliment whats in the radio.

Cheers,

Jesse

Yes, I am using pin 11. Rx DPL, decoded by the radio -- though I did
try receiving the NOAA weather channel too just have some other signal
with no results (Tx inhibit in the radio on that channel!).

I do have audio on the internal speaker and I connected an external
speaker in place of the cable to the URI and that worked as well.

I will check the other settings you mentioned -- thank you.

Just wanted to followup on my post from last week in case anyone else
has the same problem...

As mentioned, I was using the pinout shown for the URIx to GM300 cable
shown at http://dmkeng.com/images/9080-GM300.pdf This connects PTT,
Audio In, Audio Out and Ground but has no COR connection.

With a hat tip to Steve Denbow, who asked if I was getting a carrier
signal, I made up a second cable that connected COR and changed the
Accessory Pins config of the CDM1250 from "Default" to "Phone Patch"
(COR is not a default signal, where as all the rest are).

Now everything works.

Thanks to both Steve and Jesse Lloyd for suggested troubleshooting steps.
