I’m trying to finish my All-star node setup. As recommended (in SHH) I have changed password from root to something else. First time login is fine but if I logout and try to log back in .Every time I try to login first password request is accepted but second password request is declined?
Is there a way to reset or find the second password request?
I’ve done the Hamvoip setup 3 times and this keeps happening.

I’m not too familiar with hamvoip; this is AllstarLink (ASL) list. In ASL if you don’t save at each step through the setup, you can run into issues.

BTW, its ssh, not shh.
To be clear, are you changing thee root password of the system.
This is not specific to hamvoip but the OS.
But you do need to have root privileges to change the root password. - ‘sudo’
