# Yaesu FTM Series radios

Has anyone on her set up an Allstar note using one of the the Yaesu FTM series of 2 mobiles and what was your interface setup?

I haven’t done this personally, but was working with someone a couple of years back who used an FT-M100 coupled with a DINAH. There was a setting that needed to be changed in the radio regarding the squelch logic of the data port, and I think the cable this person had didn’t tap from the discriminator, but that might just be a simple pin change. Not familiar enough with that radio to say.  
With my Kenwood TM-V71A and TM-D700A, for example, I can tap from pin 5 instead of pin 4 on the 6-pin DIN in order to pick up the discriminator of the radio, which sounds much better than the filtered AF stage, even with a high pass filter applied in simpleusb or usbradio.
