Using echoolink module: clients get intermittent un-authorized message

I am running the echolink module of AllStar.

It is basically working but we get intermittent un-authorized eros during the connection. In most cases retrying the connection if you are using an echolink client resolves the problem.

If you are going through allstar this seems to be a near permanent failure.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance!!!

Could you say more…

What exact errors are you getting ? Post them.

See error message in image.

“Connect failed
Cannot connect to AB1PH-5
UN-AUTHORIZED”

That is a error on echolink software, not the echolink module of app_rpt/asl.

If you are using a PC or phone version of EL on the same connection as your ASL/app_rpt, that is on the same IP,
one or more are gonna fail everytime.
Echolink only allows one connection per IP address.

So, if you turn the wifi off on your phone (not just close the app because it likely will run in the background) and or disconnect the pc, one of them will work. But only one per IP at a time.

This is happening from other IP addresses.

And it is intermittent if form echolink clients.

It is consistent form AllStart software using addressing through echolink.

Well, without a valid ‘asl’ error string,
looks like you may have to see echolink support for errors on their software.

I receive this all the time on my nodes as well. I usually ignore it and it doesn’t seem to affect incoming traffic for me. I suspect it’s their servers going up and down… not sure!

Thanks for the additional data!
