Odd Error

I’m testing ASL on my 42690 repeater using a Pi2 with a high speed sd card, and need help resolving an error. It works for a day or two, then seems have a sync problem with the URI. The audio becomes very garbled, and the green LED on the URI has an odd double flash/dim sequence. Only a reboot restores it to normal. A hint is the ‘ messages ‘ log, with continuous errors of ‘ dahdi: Detected time shift ‘. Not sure where else to look.

I’ve had this issue before. Check your 5v power supply. The Pi can get the voltage and current it needs to run, but if the 5v rail for the USB ports drops below a certain threshold, the USB audio interface craps out.

Using a supply that gives 5.3 volts or so (at 3a or more) instead of 5.0 seems to make the issue disappear.

Hope that helps.

I AGREE…POWER SUPPLY…

I GOT A dc/dc buck converter off amazon…

https://www.amazon.com/JSDOIN-LM2596-Converter-3-0-40V-1-5-35V/dp/B07KQ6ZFXG/ref=sr_1_7?crid=20VP1SYA1VCLF&keywords=dc+buck+converter&qid=1567872528&s=gateway&sprefix=dc+buck%2Caps%2C271&sr=8-7

Using 13.8 volt supply, just turn pot until you are at 5.3 VDC output.

Works great!
