Nodes connected to each other WITHOUT allstar "server'?

OK;
So

I have an RTCM at my home, along with a Pi running ASL. A second RTCM is installed at a repeater 8 miles away connected to a local LAN via internet, or a cellular modem. That will work?
I have two RTCM at those locations, both point to ASL’s severs with no other computer required. That will also work?

            No computer needed at the physical
location of the RTCMs. Only network connection back to
the Pi or Server (computer).
