Login issues after setting up a PI4

KK7VGQ A newbie to all of this. I have a PI4 and I loaded the software exactly as indicated, but I can’t get past

the username and password. I have forgotten my username and password. I’m wondering how I can recover it or create a new 1. See the attachment

Honestly, if you are just starting off then it may be simplest to go back to the Raspberry Pi Imager, check/set your desired login info, and re-flash.

I would agree. Make sure its set in the Raspberry Pi Imager. Use at least 6 characters for the password. Its not a must but I found it makes things easier. I got less errors that way.
