I am curious to know if there is a setting I can adjust to increase the volume of audio coming in from a link. My rx and tx levels are good, when turning on parrot mode everything sounds great, but when I link in to a repeater, the incoming audio is very low. On the other side of the conversation I receive good audio reports from my side.
I am using a simplex node running on the BBB with a Baofeng 888. I switched it and my HT to WFM but the linked audio is still very low.
Is every different node you connect to is much too low? If so I’d guess that you have your audio level too hot. How did you set your RX and TX levels?

I have TX A level set to 600 and TX B level also set to 600. I tried moving them around and it didn’t seem to change much until I put them really low and things got quieter. I thought it was all links but I just tried using echolink to connect in and I sounded pretty good so I’m starting to second guess myself. I will try connecting somewhere else and let you know how it goes.
Thanks,
Andy

You can connect to me 28368, mine were set with a service monitor so they’re pretty darn close to perfect.

I just set up a radio for first time. Seems the 0-999 level range is not linear. I get much more change once I am above 800 or so. K0jsc- would you be willing to help me adjust levels at some point?
Thx
