Good news, it works! Thanks for the help and it appears there are a lot of
hidden 'features' I need to learn about...

Subject: Re: [App_rpt] Passing DTMF?
On my test node (102), I set the following:
duplex = 0 ; No duplex, no
response (mostly)
propagate_dtmf = yes ; Propigate
non-function DTMF digits
linktolink = yes
On my normal node (2001), I hit *3102 to bring up a full
duplex link to
node 102. I then go into command mode for node 102, by
entering *40 (since 102 was the last addressed node). Then,
whatever touchtones I hit, like 123 comes out the transmitter
of node 102 just like it should.
Thanks for the info. Confirm you must go into command mode to generate the
DTMF?
Yep.
I was not using command mode (I don't really understand what it command
mode is) so that could be the problem.
The purpose of Command Mode makes is to make your local node command decoder
ignore any DTMF, and instead forward it over the link to the far end where it
gets decoded. When you are in commend mode, you should hear an extra beep in
the courtesy tone sequence on the node you are accessing. You must remember
to exit Command Mode when you are finished commanding the local node. If you
do not, no audio will passed in command mode.
My config is the same as yours so hopefully it is the lack of 'command
mode' that was the problem. I'll try it and see what happens.
Tell me more about using the '0' feature instead of a node number.
0 is shorthand for the last valid node number entered.
If you connect to node 1234 using *31234, you can go in to command mode on
node 1234 by dialing *40, or disconnect from node 1234 by dialing *10.

Cool, I didn't realize Macros could be assigned as multiple digits.

and.. a 'p' or a 'P' in a macro gives you a 500ms pause.
I can't get multi digit macros to work.
This doesn't work.
[functions-repeater]
5=macro
[macro]
12=*12001
Sending DTMF *512 does nothing.
