Thanks for this, really appreciate the troubleshooting.
Result is now that ASL3 is working, as is allmon3.
If anyone finds this in future, the issues were:
Ionos VPS was using a “different” version of debian 12 and it caused lots of issues.
Selecting the default image and doing the full install, solved all the issues.
The second issue re allmon3 was that I hadn’t gone back to the main folder before installing allmon3 (purge and reinstall fixed it)
