ClearRpt node 47282 full time radio link to KD0NEB repeater @ Perry, Iowa.
Typically, the repeater/ASL has no issues with audio levels. Noted recently as we have been getting what I perceive as an ALC ramp-up in volume coming over ASL. These can be sourced from RF transmissions or from over ASL originated transmissions.
While I've not been able to measure this yet, I am thinking about a 1 - 1.5 dB increase beginning about 15 seconds into a transmission. Next transmission will do the same thing.
Are there any settings in ASL that could account for this action?
While the sounds aren't objectionable, if a station coming in has a loud signal it can be cause for grabbing the volume control.
It reminds me of an old phone bridge from broadcasting days set on auto level.
